“Unless we return to the crude and nursery-like belief in objective values, we perish.”
As I wrote after Easter, our culture has taken its negative turn over the past 40-60 years largely as we have abandoned moral absolutes…what Lewis calls “objective values.” Later he wrote that one of his critics, someone that Lewis perceived to be subjective, or individualistic, in his values, “demands moral earnestness; I prefer morality.” And for Lewis, that meant the “how” of living to be based on moral absolutes as developed by Jesus.

can it be that “objective values” or moral absolutes were “developed by Jesus”, or is it much to moral philosophy (at times) building or deriving from the teachings of Jesus of Nazareth?
