Carl began speaking right out of college and continued to do so while working on his masters degrees. Throughout his adult life, Carl has combined his ability as a communicator with his love of working with people. Molded by a diverse work background, Carl has coached an Olympic training swim team, worked construction and been the Student Pastor of a local church. Carl has been a key speaker for groups and organizations from Seattle to Florida, New Mexico to Boston.

He has authored three books (self-published) as well as contributed to two history textbooks. Carl and his wife Kim have also founded a Christian church called Numinous in Orlando for the young and the restless, the emotionally weary and spiritually hungry. Beyond that, Carl has found the time to record 5 musical CD s with his band, Anodyne.

Since 2001, he has been a Professor of History at Valencia Community College, one of America’s top Community Colleges. Consistently filling his classes, he is a popular professor known for his inspiring lectures and his concern and care for his students. Yet he is also known for his challenging style of teaching that demands students strive for excellence.
