Hard to believe. Just yesterday she arrived…a millennium baby. Now, she’s driving herself to school, dance and to see friends. Ok…this is the 18th and her birthday is on Sunday…so I have three more days…but the reality hits all the same. Once she was needing me to care for her every need…now she’s got it. She’s sweet 16.
Brynn and I have always been close. I’m close with all three of my daughters, but perhaps as the baby…well, let’s just say that I was the one who could calm her best with a hug and a prayer. Our nighttimes always had a sweet prayer before she’d sing with Mom. Life changes…though I still get a sweet goodnight and a kiss.
Brynn is an amazing young lady, just like her big sisters. She has an amazing future. She’s always loved the Lord and singing her praises to God. I can’t wait to see what transpires in life for her. I get to keep her around for two more years, and I am so excited for those days.
They will move too fast; all of my days move too fast now. As one of my songs said, “I’m aging faster now.” But every day with my daughter Brynn is a good day.
I love you sweetheart. Have a very happy birthday!!
