UPDATE JANUARY 29—$4100 Raised To Date

An Impactful Trip to Mexico

Over the week of November 4-9, I was in Oaxaca, Mexico working with the Josh McDowell Ministry.  Josh was in Mexico to speak at Le Gran Fiesta, an event for Christian pastors from around Mexico, funded and supported through Growers First.

Growers First is a non-profit ministry established to improve the quality of life for impoverished farming communities.  They use strategies within five pillars of a healthy community: economics, agricultural advancement, educational, health and faith.  Growers First believes in helping these farmers and their communities with the goal to create generational sustainability that ultimately contributes to a better economic and social quality of life.

Founded by Dave Day, the son of long-time minister Dick Day who is a close ministry friend of Josh McDowell, Growers First has been in operation since 2000 and has helped thousands of farmers in Mexico and Central America.  More can be read on their website, www.growersfirst.org.

One Scary Ride

My week of ministry there saw spiritual revival, dentistry, eye exams, prayer ministry, feeding hungry people and the celebration of Jesus by these wonderful people.  I was personally renewed in my spirit there and in almost every way felt safe and inspired….except for once.  That one time was the trip I had to take in their broken down 15 passenger van.  GF uses this van, and another like it, to travel throughout the region, high up into the mountains of Mexico.  These are rough roads and the miles pick up quickly.  While traveling in this one van, I felt a sincere apprehension for my safety and that of others.  I thought to myself, surely here in America, we can raise $15,000 to help GF purchase a new van.  I need your help to do this!

WILL YOU HELP ME RAISE $15,000?

You can write a tax-deductible check to Numinous, Inc, include the term “new van” in the memo line. I need your help here.  I have already begun conversations with leaders here in Orlando, but I know through my network throughout the country, you can help me bless this ministry.  For some, writing a check of $50 may be a lot, for others of you, I know you could write a check for $5000 quite easily.  Will you please help me make this gift of safety?  What a better gift at this time of Thanksgiving than to know that you are advancing the betterment of others less fortunate than yourself. All monies contributed will go 100% to the purchase of the van, not to Numinous operating costs.
